In Case You are Wondering Who I am

I had a really bizarre experience  which made me decide to add another section to the website. 

An English woman contacted me because her mother was illegitimate and she suspected her missing grandfather was a Russian Jew. I was trying to help her track down this missing person who, like her mother was long dead. I probably spent five or more hours trying to find the missing father. I made some headway, found him in Scotland, and reported my findings to the woman. At no cost. 

I took a week off because I had dental surgery and when I got back to my office I had a real surprise in my email inbox. Out of nowhere I got an email from this English woman's daughter. The daughter's note was incomprehensibly rude and crass in equal measure, she accused me of being a con man, questioned my PhD, and let me know my website was suspect. And finally demanded I stay away from her mother? Hey, happy to oblige! 

I help people because I like to help people. If you don't want my help, I have lots of things to occupy my time. The response I got for helping her mother, at no expense to herself, was unhinged to say the least. Perhaps the daughter suffers from mental illness and she cannot control herself. I will pray for her because something is clearly wrong with her. 

However, this ill mannered persons ugly note got me thinking. Perhaps I should probably post something about myself so people know I am a real person with a real life and real degrees. It never occurred to me that that I should post my credentials, but, after being so rudely attacked, I decided I would. 

The short form is that I got an undergraduate degree(BA) in Jewish history from NYU. I had a short career as a Hebrew school teacher and then  followed my other passion, medical botany. I got a diploma in Phytotherapy, wrote a lot of books, articles for magazines, had an herb shop in London, and a lot more. 

My particular specialty was disease preventing botanical drugs. Indeed, I did a PhD in disease preventing botanical drugs at Exeter University. My work was based on that of  II Brekhman, creator of the adaptogen concept and the person who identified the first adaptogenic drugs. I took his concept forward and proposed this group of disease preventing drugs be renamed Resistogens. I identified 42 new disease preventing botanical drugs. I am a lifelong student of nature, both plants and animals. I spend some of my time creating new breeds of animals and plants. In particular, I have done a lot of work with Thai Temple cats. At a point, I grew tired of working with nature,  and returned my first love, Jewish history and more specifically Crypto-Jewish history. 

I have spent my entire adult life working as a researcher. I have researched diseases, plants, animals, you name it. I am a professional researcher. Now I research Crypto-Jewish history. As you will see on this website, as I research a topic within Crypto-Jewish history, I post that research in the way of an article. 

This is how I plan to spend the rest of my life, so, keep coming back, as I will keep posting new material. Everyday I work on a new bit of Crypto-Jewish history and when I have collected enough material to make a coherent article, I will be posting that here.
